MLO 6 INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY LITERACY
The student demonstrates an ability to use technology in support of his or her scholarly work, including gathering, organizing and analyzing sources and employing appropriate delivery techniques in both written and oral formats.

SPAN 300
WLC 300, WLC 400, and Spanish 300 helped me to complete the MLO 6 requirement. In each of these classes, I used technology for my presentations or to look for information. The teachers in every class used technology to provide us with useful information. For my Spanish 300, we needed to read a book that was going to help us in our research for our capstone. We did not have to buy the book because the teacher used on online version. In the same class, the teacher arranged a presentation from a librarian, and she taught us how to look for credible information. I am glad that we had this opportunity to see this presentation because we needed credible information for our capstone project. We also learned how to cite sources and how to make a diagram. Basically, everything that we did in this class involved using the computer. At the beginning of the semester, we were at a normal classroom, but later we changed to the computer lab. When we were at the computer lab, we were given another presentation about how to do the portfolio we needed for our graduation. After the presentation, the presenter did not leave and stayed to answer any questions that we had. In one of our classes, we had time to work on our bibliography. We needed to find a couple of sources for our capstone project, and we were given class time because the bibliography was extremely important. When we were done with the bibliography we had to send it to our teacher via email. In this class, we also did a short presentation about a last year classmate’s capstone. The purpose of this assignment was to help us with our own capstones. Some of us did not have any idea of what to do, so this assignment was helpful. In WLC 300 and 400, the teachers also used technology to give us information that we needed in order to graduate. For example, in WLC 300 we were introduced to the capstone project and to the portfolio. We also went to the computer lab for some of our class sections. In WLC 400, we reviewed the capstone requirements. This class was designed to help us with our capstone project. All we did for this class was working on our most important project. Technology was an important factor for these three classes, which made them interesting and useful.
